At the beginning of 2021, I went to a 7-day retreat in Costa Rica where I danced with a very powerful plant medicine teacher called Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca is a tool that indigenous tribes in the Amazon have been using for healing purposes for thousands of years. It's tough to explain what the experience was like in very much detail but I can say is that it was a profoundly transformative experience. I went through a total of four ceremonies while I was there, and, at times, the experience was really challenging, and, at others, it was incredibly beautiful and loving, opening my eyes to a deeper understanding of who I am, and what I'm here to do.

With everything that's been going on in the world, my intentions for going to Costa Rica to work with this medicine was...

  • to understand how I can help make a difference in the world,
  • to understand more fully what is really going on,
  • and what, if anything, needs to be done in order to shift the collective narrative which has become so consumed with fear, uncertainty, scarcity, and separation.

Although I could probably write an entire book on the journey that took place, I will share a small piece of my journey. This is something I will continue to contemplate for myself, something that gave me some insight into how, and why, we are being led down a path towards chaos, and what I think we must do in order to find peace within ourselves.

Note: I will say that taking information, insights and/or visions from another dimensional reality (the ones that Ayahuasca took me to) and figuring out how to put them into words for human communication can prove to be a challenging task. My intention for sharing this is not to pass judgment or tell you how to live your life; it is merely an observation and something that I hope you take some time to contemplate for yourself. As you read it, feel what comes up in your body, bring awareness to the emotions that arise, find something that adds value to your story, that resonates within your soul, and leave the rest. Here we go..

What Ayahuasca showed me

Well, it was more than "showed me." At one point I actually folded into, and merged with, the infinite potential that is consciousness, or God - which was overwhelming, to say the least.

And, while I was in this space of infinity, I had a deep insight, a thought, a revelation. I realized in that moment, while I was becoming lost in the void, almost losing all sense of self, how familiar that feeling actually was.. but where had I felt it before?

The internet!

For the first time, I understood how vast and infinite the internet actually was, how it has become, and is, the "physical" manifestation of consciousness, or infinite potential.

With it's limitless, and never ending, stream of information, it has become increasingly difficult for any one individual to discern what is true and what isn't.

I'm not knocking the internet, it has helped us learn, grow, and understand more of the complexities of what it means to be human, widening our perception, deepening our understanding of reality. I'm merely offering an observation, something I see when I look out into the world. People are lost, fearful, unsure about what's going on and what's going to happen. They've given their sovereignty, their divine power, the story of who they are away, to something outside themselves, they've lost their faith.

What does it mean to have faith?

I'm sure it's different for everyone, but for me, put simply, faith is a deep, profound trust in the Universe - God, Source, Great Spirit, whatever you want to call It - that creative life force energy that permeates all of existence, that aspect of the divine that lives deep within us all. Some call it the soul, but it's the thing connecting us to all that is.

You see, the problem isn't that the world is burning around us, it's that we've gotten lost in the infinite loop of information telling us that the answer or solution to our problems lies outside of ourselves.

We've lost faith in our connection to the aspect of knowing that lives deep within us all, the aspect that knows what needs to be done, telling us how we can change it all in an instant. The answer is, always has been, and always will be.. LOVE.

Love for ourselves.

Love for others.

Love for the experience.

Love for nature.

Love for our family.

Love for the opportunity to grow, to learn, to create.

We are the source of love that can change the world in an instant. We have the answer. We are the answer.
